Science supporting Mangoselect®
Mangoselect® is intended to support normal joint health.
Its biological activity has been explored through pre‑clinical mechanistic research, followed by a pilot human study conducted in a small group of athletic and older subjects to investigate joint comfort parameters.
Characterisation
Mangoselect® is a combination of two naturally occurring xanthones extracted from mangosteen:
α‑mangostin and γ‑mangostin.
Mangosteen (Garcinia mangostana L.) is a tropical fruit traditionally consumed in Asia.
Xanthones, a class of polyphenols found in mangosteen, have been widely studied for their antioxidant properties and their role in oxidative balance.

Joint comfort
Whithin 5 days of supplementation, improvements in self‑reported joint comfort were observed in both sub‑groups over the study period.
These results suggest a potential role for Mangoselect® in supporting joint comfort in different populations, acknowledging the exploratory nature and limited scale of the study.
